Last night I was treated to a fabulous happy hour and an inspirational Sara Bareilles concert. My daughters were responsible for this amazing love gift. There was no particular reason for it, just the sheer fun of being together and enjoying music and food. I love concerts, but only after I'm there, with all the delicious, magical enthusiasm, do I remember how much I love them.....a lot. Why do I not treat myself to this more often? I could plan for at least one concert a year to look forward to. I could delight in the knowing that I will be getting to choose from all the great groups that come to the area. Or... I could just expect that my girls will do it! Thank you Sara and Aris, for knowing me even better than I know myself sometimes. Cheers to having supportive, enthusiastic, fully engaged in life and love women best friends as my children. Best Tuesday evening of my life!
What distracts or annoys you? Who says you have to answer your phone or doorbell just because it rings? What about the lights in your work area, or in your home? Could they be too bright or maybe not even bright enough? These subtle things that we continue to accept or work around could be disturbing our focus and even hindering our ability to fully relax. What about taking just one day to pay attention to the things in your life that might be overstimulating or subtly robbing your energy and tweaking them for the better?
 Have you been keeping something in your life that you really don't think belongs there? Maybe it's a piece of furniture that somebody gave you, but it's not really your taste. It could be a piece of clothing that you never wear, or you wear it but it doesn't suit your style or frame. Or maybe it's something deeper like a relationship or your career. How would it make you feel to move on from it? What keeps you from it? 
What's one small change you could make that would make the biggest difference in your life right now? For me, it was meditating. When I began to meditate my life felt easier. I feel like answers come to me quicker and syncronicities show up more often. I feel less stress when I don't know the answers right away and just generally more joyful.
I have grown wise from the challenges in my life but, even more joyful. Each day I look for reasons to celebrate the wonderful blessings I have. Today I am appreciative for the amazing weather we are having, and that when I woke up this morning the gray roots in my hair were pleasantly brown again. Love my hair colorist! Ahh, it's the little things.
